3D Printing & Builds
Print the gear — cases, mounts, antenna parts, and weatherproof enclosures.
What it is
The maker corner. Members share STLs, slicer profiles, and printed parts for radios and mesh nodes — node enclosures, antenna brackets, faceplates, battery holders, you name it. If it holds a radio, someone in #3d-printing has probably printed it.
Printing for the field
A few things that separate a node that survives a summer from one that doesn’t.
PLA melts outside
PLA warps in a hot car and degrades in UV. For anything living outdoors, reach for PETG, ASA, or ASA/PC instead.
Seal it up
Gaskets, cable glands, and a drip edge keep rain out of your enclosure. Design for water to run off, not pool.
Share the STL
Made a great mount or case? Post the file. Shared models are how the channel — and everyone’s nodes — get better.
Models & slicers
Where to find designs — and the software to print them.
Print it, mod it, share it.
